A Message to Attendees:

From: Delane Parnell

Earlier this year I announced my plans to host an event named Starter Fest in September. My goal was ambitious, but simple: Create an experience where ideas are accelerated, collaboration is amplified, meaningful connections are formed, and diversity is celebrated. Seems easy, right? It’s not.

With a small team of 1 and limited time, I could only accomplish so much. More importantly, large scale events are expensive to produce and fundraising for new, homegrown projects require persistent effort. Although I remain committed to hosting Starter Fest one-day, that day will not be this year.

With that being said, I have decided to take a more realistic approach by hosting a bi-monthly speaker series with world-changing people that I aspire to be like. This series has been named Starter Talks and speaker suggestions are welcomed.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to read this note. I hope that you will continue to support me in my efforts to unite and inspire our state’s business and tech communities.
